Waiting Game

Happy Monday everyone! Did anybody else’s weekend just fly on by? I feel like this month has been going by so quickly! V and I had a relaxing weekend. We didn’t feel like doing too much. I worked at his office with him on Friday and after work we realized we hadn’t had a weekend with just us at home in a couple of months, so it was nice to chill after all of the holidays. Plus we will be in Tucson next weekend so we need the rest. 😊

Friday night we enjoyed some wine and a fire and just talked for hours about our future. We’ve been setting so many goals and are so excited for what’s to come. I am in the middle of what I’ve been calling a “waiting game”. I have been asking everyone to keep me in their thoughts and needing good vibes as I wait for something to happen that could change our lives. I don’t want to jinx it, so that’s why I haven’t told anyone what it is I’m waiting for. I’ve been told that nothing good comes easy… and all those other quotes but I can’t help but want an answer now.. hehe. Anybody have advice that helped them through a similar situation? I’d love to know…. 😜

Anyways, on Saturday we went to yoga in the morning and V worked for a little bit in the afternoon. We both were wanting to spend another night in together. So we cooked together, watched a movie, and enjoyed our Christmas tree (who we named Bob) for the last time. Did anybody else not feel like taking their Christmas decorations down until now? It’s really depressing every year to me to take everything down. I just love Christmas so much! It really is the most wonderful time of year.

Sunday was relaxing and productive as well. We always go to the grocery store on Sunday for meal prep and try to do a home project. We put away all of our Christmas decorations and went through the closet again and reorganized. This time we went through our shoes, (gulp) and decided to donate what we weren’t wearing anymore. This year I am trying to become more of a minimalist with “stuff”. So far, so good. Nothing feels better than an organized house with only the necessities. 😁 I definitely encourage you to do the same thing. Giving is good, and being organized feels great.

We also decided to do a quick photo shoot in the desert because I had a lot of people ask me about my coat and boots so I wanted to share them with you. This jacket is my all time favorite jacket I’ve ever owned, and every time I wear it somebody approaches me about it. It is by Guess and was purchased at Macy’s. It is on sale right now for a GREAT price. It also comes in other colors and I have it linked below.  The over the knee boots I found as a score from Norstrom Rack in Vegas for under $100 which was 60% off. Gotta love that store! The only thing is they aren’t for sale now by they were a return from Hautelook so I’m sorry I couldn’t link them… I didn’t find similar boots though. I had been looking for the perfect ones for months. They of course had to be Vegan and comfortable.. ahh.. they are both! I love them so much.

I also am loving the bodysuit trend because it is really figure flattering and is good for showing off your hard work in the gym.😜 My favorite brand for these is Top Shop. I find them to be the most comfortable. This one is from Ten Sixty Sherman which you can find at Nordstrom.

I sincerely hope you have a great week! Thank you for stopping by.. ❤️
